Readings-Acts 2:14, 22-33 / 1 Pt 1:17-21 / Lk 24:13-35(46)
- The scripture reading in Acts says, “I will pour out my spirit on every kind of people”. “Fellow Israelites, listen carefully, Jesus the Nazarene, – the miracles, and wonders and signs that God did through him are common knowledge – this Jesus, following the deliberate and well thought out plan of God was betrayed by men who took the law into their own hands and was handed over to you, And you pinned him to the cross. but v.32 God has raised this Jesus to life through V.33 the Holy Spirit, what you now see and hear.”
- The scripture reading in Peter says “You call out to God for help and he helps – he’s a good father that way – But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living. Your life is a journey you must travel with deep consciousness of God. And V.21 as you trust God, you know you have a future in God.
- The Scripture reading for Luke is The Road To Emmaus, about Jesus encountering two men walking the road and explaining to Jesus the goings on, and then….”He sat down at the table with them. Taking the bread, he blessed and broke and gave it to them. At that moment, open wide eyed, they recognized him.”
